Monastero Santa Rosa is a family run establishment, containing 20 individually designed rooms, all with sea views and decorated with historical photos of the area and monastery itself, making their guests stay insightful and unique. Only twenty minutes drive from the town of Amalfi and ninety minutes from the airport, the hotel is perched on the cliffs edge , combining privacy and seclusion with accesibility . Guests can opt to arrive in style by helicopter which offers spectacular views over Naples, Vesuvius, Capri, Ischia, Herculaneum and Pompeii before ending with Sorrento and the Amalfi coast landing just below the hotel.
Hiking:
As part of the wellness package, walkers of all abilities can explore the stunning, almost unknown route called ‘Valle delle Ferriere’. Guests spend around three hours discovering the natural beauty of the coastline filled with lemon trees, terraced vineyards and lush olive groves whilst embracing the fresh sea air. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will experience exclusive parts of the Amalfi coast and enjoy an al fresco Picnic lunch consisting of local Italian delicacies using only the finest produce from the monastery’s own herb and vegetable garden.
Spa Treatments:
After an afternoon of hiking, unwiding in the finest spa on the Amalfi coast is on the agenda. Full of character and in a different calibre to that of standard issue treatment rooms in modern hotels, the spa boasts a double height vaulted tepidarium with Pomegranate infused foot spas, heated loungers, a suite, a treatment garden, a natural rock sauna, and a hydrotherapy pool.
