Good to know

This exfoliating foaming cleanser will help to exfoliate your skin and leave it primed for your daily serums and creams. It contains the active exfoliating acids glycolic acid at 5% and salicylic acid at 2%. These acids have been used for many years in dermatology because they are considered the safest and most effective acids for exfoliating the skin. The product may tingle as its applied to the skin but that is just the acids getting to work and is totally normal and desired. 

Glycolic acid – is the smallest alpha hydroxyacid derived from sugar cane. It is known as the safest acid on the market and is great for improving luminosity, reduced pigmentation and photo damage. It works by breaking the bonds between the outer layer of cells to remove cellular debris and to stimulate new cel turnover and renewal. That makes it the ideal acid for daily use and for anti-ageing.

Salicylic acid – is a beta hydroxy acid derived from aspirin. It is particularly effective for oil control and acne prevention. It works by removing excess oil in the pores, reducing excess debris and congestion in pores and reducing inflammation in the skin. It also has antibacterial effects. This makes it ideal for preventing acne, blemishes, blackheads white heads and generalised congestion. This is why it is known as a super ingredient or ‘skin saviour’. It is a hard working, multi-tasking ingredient of the highest calibre.

This exfoliating wash can be safely used once a day. It is a powerful exfoliator so start it slowly and gradually increase usage over a few weeks. For skin that isn’t used to active ingredients it can take a few weeks to adjust. Some dryness and flaking is to be expected during an adjustment phase. If your skin cannot tolerate daily usage of this product then drop down to two to three times a week so that you still get good effect.
